Standing up for somebody else the wrong way.
When I was a sophmore in high school I was still friends with a boy I'd known since preschool. He happened to be in a wheelchair and got picked on a lot for it. Like usual another boy, we will call Samuel, was picking on my friend, we will call Noah. He called him many mean names and made fun of him for his weight. The next day Noah and I were dissecting a pig in biology class. Noah helped me cut off the foot of the pig, which I quickly pocketed. As predicted Samuel approached Noah at my table in the cafeteria. With no hesitation he started hurling insults at Noah. I quickly stood up and put the pig's foot down the back of Samuels shirt. I was suspended for three days because Samuel said I put the pig's foot in his food. I had no regrets for being suspended or the fact that this meant Samuel targeted me with his insults instead of my friend Noah.
